A Bouquet on Every Stem
This centuries-old Daffodil is still prized for its delightful fragrance, robust growth, heat tolerance, and abundant blooms. With slightly reflexed, overlapping white petals and delicate yellow cups, Daffodil Avalanche bursts with showy clusters of 10 to 20 small flowers on each stem, creating a stunning bouquet on its own. This spring blooming perennial is often called "The Seventeen Sisters," for the numerous flowers it produces. Consider cutting a stem or two to bring indoors for a striking display. Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society and many others.

Daffodil General Information

Tazetta's are bunch flowering daffodils. With 3-4 blossoms per stem, they also have a sweet, musky fragrance. Consider planting them under deciduous trees that will not leaf out until after the Narcissus have bloomed.

Daffodil Plant Care

In fall, plant bulbs in deep, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Plant 4-6" apart and 6" deep in groups of 5,7,9 or more. Water during their growth period. After flowers bloom, let the foliage die back naturally. Once the foliage fades, cut it back. Interested in forcing bulbs? Visit our Useful Links page.
